Class Length: 45 minutes

This is a parent involved class to introduce gymnastics to our youngest gymnasts. This class begins with a short circle time learning the 3 main body positions and reviewing a few physical skills – such as jumping. The gymnastics coach explains the stations that are set up around the gym and parents are encouraged to help their child with the different skills on al apparatuses provided. The gymnastics coaches are around to encourage trying new things, show parents ways to help their child, and keep a positive and fun environment. This class ends with singing “Ring Around the Rosie” and playing “Bye-Bye”.

Ages: 3-4

Class Length: 60 minutes

This class is geared towards preschool aged children. This is our first class that allows the child to participate without parental involvement. Children are given “dots” or “stars” to help them have a way of being grounded in the area of the gym they’re supposed to be in. The gymnastics coach begins this class with a game to warm up muscles and practice basic motor movements – such as skipping, jumping, galloping, throwing, and catching. Next, the gymnastics coach leads stretches in a fun way. The equipment used for this class include: the beam, the child-size bar, tumble track, and an assortment of mats on the floor. Utilizing all of these allows the participants to be introduced to a wide variety of beginning gymnastics skills. This class is designed with “stations” that participates rotate through during the allotted class time. The class ends with the “Bye-Bye” song, and each student earns a sticker for the following directions during the class time.
